Eyebrow Tattoo Bristol

An eyebrow tattoo is a cosmetic tattoo that places pigment into the upper layers of the skin to reshape, fill or define your brows. It is also called permanent makeup, semi permanent eyebrows or brow tattooing, and the names are often used interchangeably.

I am Ilaria, and I have been doing this for more than seven years. My studio is on Gloucester Road North in Bristol, a few minutes from Filton, Horfield, Bishopston and Bradley Stoke. Every treatment starts with a free consultation, because the right technique depends on your skin, not on a price list.

The three eyebrow tattoo techniques I offer

  • Nano Brows. Ultra fine hair strokes made with a digital machine. The most natural looking option, and it holds well on oily and sensitive skin. Read about Nano Brows
  • Ombre and Powder Brows. Soft shading that builds from light at the front to deeper at the tail, giving a filled in, makeup like finish that lasts two to three years. Read about Ombre Brows
  • Microblading. Hair strokes made with a hand held blade. Beautiful on normal and dry skin, less suited to oily skin where the strokes can blur over time.
  • Combination Brows. Hair strokes at the front with shading through the body and tail, for people who want texture and definition together.

Which eyebrow tattoo is right for you

Skin type decides more than personal taste does. If your skin is oily or combination, I will usually recommend Nano or Ombre Brows, because pigment holds more reliably. If your skin is normal or dry and you want a crisp hair stroke, microblading is a genuine option and I am happy to do it.

If you already fill your brows in every morning, you will probably prefer the shaded finish. If you want people to assume the brows are simply yours, hair strokes are the better fit. In your consultation I look at your skin, your existing brows and your routine, then tell you honestly which will heal best on you. Compare Nano Brows and microblading in detail

Eyebrow tattoo corrections and cover ups

A lot of my work is fixing brow tattoos done elsewhere. Old microblading that has faded to a cool grey or blue, shapes that no longer suit the face, or strokes that have blurred and spread. Depending on how much pigment is left and how it has aged, a correction or a cover up is often possible.

Send me a photo on WhatsApp before you book and I will tell you honestly whether I can improve it, and what the realistic result would be. Some cases need fading or removal first, and I will say so rather than take the booking.

Common questions about eyebrow tattoos

  • How long does an eyebrow tattoo last?
Between one and three years depending on the technique, your skin type and your aftercare. Ombre and Powder Brows tend to last longest.
  • Does it hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. Numbing cream is applied before and during the treatment, and most people describe it as mild scratching.
  • Will it look obviously tattooed?
Not if it is designed properly. The shape is mapped to your face and the pigment is matched to your colouring, so the result reads as your own brows rather than as makeup.
  • How long does healing take?
The surface heals in seven to ten days and the colour settles by about six weeks. Read the full aftercare guide
